Friends of Highway Spinney
The ‘Friends’ are a group of volunteers who are dedicated to the upkeep of the Highway Spinney woodland. They hold fortnightly litter picks, and other activities. Please see below for details of future events.
Anyone interested in finding out more can attend the bi-monthly meeting of the group, the next of which will be held on Monday 15th September from 7pm at St Mary’s Church, St Marys Avenue, Braunstone West, Leicester.
Bat Walks
A ‘Bat Walk’ will take place in the Spinney on Monday 29th September.
Please meet at St Mary’s at 6pm.

All litter picks start at 10am from the Spinney entrance at Braunstone Crossroads. The group will supply protective gloves, bags and litter pickers.
