The Braunstone Vision
‘Ten years from now, Braunstone will be a beautiful place to live. Local people will enjoy good quality housing, services and facilities. We will be confident, well educated and hard working. We will be fit and healthy and live without the fear of crime. We will be fully involved in, and own, the process of improving our estate, and will work with others who share our vision. We will share our brighter and better Braunstone with the rest of the world.’
What is ‘A New Deal for Braunstone’?
‘A New Deal for Braunstone’ is the £49.5 million Government scheme to regenerate the Braunstone area.
It is managed by Braunstone Community Association (BCA) – a local, resident led Neighbourhood Renewal Company.
Working with residents and agencies like the City Council, the Police, local schools, Job Centre Plus, and many more, ‘A New Deal for Braunstone’ aims to improve the quality of life for local residents, and to make the Braunstone Vision a reality.
To do this, we are working on:
- Reducing crime and helping residents to feel safer in their community.
- Providing more opportunities for people to access work and self employment.
- Improving housing and the local environment
- Helping people of all ages to reach their potential in education.
- Enabling residents to live longer and healthier lives.
- Supporting residents to develop skills and get involved in what happens in their community.

How can you get involved?
There are many ways you can get involved in our regeneration programme. You can come along to a range of meetings, whether they be Programme Board Meetings or other Partnership Groups or Task Groups. Please contact us for more information on the issues that interest you. Alternatively, you may want to become a volunteer or get involved in developing services in your neighbourhood, if so please contact the Neighbourhood Support Team on 0116 223 2256.
