About us
BCA is a “not for profit” Neighbourhood Renewal Company, established in 2000 to manage the Government-funded New Deal for Communities (NDC) programme for Leicester.
We are spending £49.5 million NDC funds, plus money from other sources, to transform Braunstone; an area identified in 1999 as one of the 39 most deprived in the country. We are doing this in partnership with local people and a whole host of organisations who deliver services in the area.
Seven years on and with around £44 million now spent on more than 100 initiatives including brand new, award winning buildings and ground-breaking work with individuals, we are well on the way to changing Braunstone forever.
As recognised experts in the field of community led regeneration, we are now developing BCA as a company that can deliver high quality neighbourhood renewal services in other areas, as well as making sure that we continue to support the development of Braunstone into the future.
