Management
The Board
BCA is managed by a Board of 17 Directors. As a resident-led organisation, the Board consists of a majority of local residents who are elected by the community.
The remaining places are taken by representatives from statutory and voluntary sector partners who deliver services in the area. The Board is Chaired by an independent Chairman and a place is reserved for a young person, elected by the local Youth Panel.

The Staff
BCA employs around 30 people. Some of those manage projects and deliver services to local people, some support the running of the organisation and the administration of the New Deal for Communities programme.
The Executive
The Company has an executive staff team led by the Chief Executive and divided up into 3 Sections:
Programme Development & Sustainability
Which develops, monitors and reviews the New Deal for Communities programme and ensures that appropriate forward strategies are devised and implemented.
Neighbourhood Development
Which supports the development of a low-level, neighbourhood management approach, that ensures the needs and desires of residents match up with improved local service provision.
Corporate Development & Service Delivery
Which supports the provision of direct services to the local community, especially in terms of information, advice and guidance to local people, enterprise development in the locality and the management of local facilities.
